Emma Saksaa (21) during an interview about the controversial murder of her best friend, the Danish-Tanzanian man Philip Mbuji Johansen (28).
Phillip was brutally murdered by two brothers in a forest on the island of Bornholm June 23rd 2020. One of the brothers has a swastika tattoo and during the murder, one of the brothers pressed a knee on Philip’s neck, which created associations to the killing of George Floyd in America. Emma, who has a Danish-Pakistan background, do not care for the two brothers anymore, but says that the murder wasn’t racially motivated: herself, Philip and the brothers were friends.
The brothers claimed that Philip had been sexually transgressive towards their mother, but it has never been reported. The brothers were sentenced 14 years of jail, without being judged for racism. Neither the prosecution nor the defense attorneys believed that there was anything that pointed to a racist motive.
