In Greece, wildfires are seen all over the country during the summer, mostly in Northeastern part of the country and close to the capital of Athens. The reasons are several: climate changes, high heat and human made fires by e.g. pyromaniacs. In the outskirts of the little town Kanallaki, Epirus Region, Northwestern part of Greece, a fire was lit by a human or humans on 10 July 2024. The aftermath leaves the outskirts with damages along the fields, buildings, fences, animal living conditions and just close to a religious building. Kanallaki’s population is around 2.500 people.
